The Under 8’s tag rugby team went along to Blundell’s School to take part in a development competition. The team performed brilliantly over the five matches and did not lose a game all afternoon, winning some of the games comfortably and scoring plenty of tries. With the lovely weather in the beautiful South Hams today, Prep 2 had their drama lesson outside with Mr Bellham, where they were exploring moving around in a variety of different scenarios as a character.
Prep 5 in their times tables lesson this week challenging themselves on our new speed challenge wall and competing against one another with our x4 and x8 board games.
Prep 3 were really excited about using the new school laptops for Mathletics for the first time today. Everyone managed to log on with their passwords and began working on the four tasks set by Mrs. Edwardes.
Prep 6 working hard in ‘Cops and Robbers’ mental calculation race. Prep 6 have also created and described properties of a huge range of 3D shapes this week. They have shown much competitive energy and creativity this week along with some solid mathematical skills.
We are so lucky to have such beautiful surroundings on our doorstep. This week Prep 1 and Prep 2 enjoyed more woodland activities down beside the River Dart. They looked for Autumn treasures and had a go at stone balancing and building stone towers!
The inviting Nursery setting at St Christopher’s has a dedicated indoor and outdoor space, in the heart of the school. Children from the age of rising three can take advantage of the numerous opportunities, facilities, activities and resources on offer in beautiful surroundings.

This afternoon in Spanish club the Children got to try some traditional Spanish food whilst learning what they are called in Spanish. They got to taste Chorizo, Paella, Jamon Serrano, Acetiunas and much more delicious food.
This morning the Children in Prep Rec have been learning all about weight. They have been using scales to weigh different items they have found in the classroom.
A great afternoon on Thursday saw our U9/U10 and U11 Swimming. Massive efforts by all saw us beat both Trinity and Abbey. The result came down to the last relay, with every team having 2 swimmers from each group. Well done to all that took part.
Prep 2 were inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy to make their own collage using natural materials found in the school grounds.
