This half term Prep 3 were challenged to make their own board games, they took inspiration from the many games played during the first half term. Some wonderful ideas have produced some brilliant games which we look forward to playing next week.
This afternoon in Spanish club the Children got to try some traditional Spanish food whilst learning what they are called in Spanish. They got to taste Chorizo, Paella, Jamon Serrano, Acetiunas and much more delicious food.
This morning the Children in Prep Rec have been learning all about weight. They have been using scales to weigh different items they have found in the classroom.
A great afternoon on Thursday saw our U9/U10 and U11 Swimming. Massive efforts by all saw us beat both Trinity and Abbey. The result came down to the last relay, with every team having 2 swimmers from each group. Well done to all that took part.
Prep 2 were inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy to make their own collage using natural materials found in the school grounds.
Preps 1 and 2 visited Stover Park to learn about habitats. The Ranger guided us around 3 distinct habitats. We identified animals we found in the pond and then learned how they are adapted to live where they do.
Prep 1 have been enjoying learning all about the weather in our French lessons. This week in pairs they became weather forecasters. In true British fashion we had all weather conditions!!

On Wednesday girls from Prep 6, 5, and 4 joined together to compete in the South West ISA U11 netball tournament. Opposition was strong but the girls managed to get two wins and improved their defensive performances through the day. This afternoon Prep 2 have been enjoying their French Sandwich, the name they have given their Friday afternoon as they have RS, French then RS!!! This week they have enjoyed learning all about animals.
This afternoon Prep Reception have had fun painting the farm shop back drop for their roll play corner. They all had great fun mixing up the colours and painting themselves and the back drop!
Today in science we looked at man made and natural materials and considered their properties, investigating our ideas by using them to do some very fun printing. The class Lego took a hit and we made some fabulous broccoli trees!
