On Saturday seven players from St Christopher’s (including two ex pupils) took part in the Exeter junior table tennis tournament. All of our players managed to win matches throughout the afternoon. Sacha got through to the semifinals where he unfortunately lost to his older brother Joseph but came back to win the third place play…
Preps 2, 3 & 4 made the most of the sun early this week in many outdoor team games. They were challenged to develop tactics and show their teamwork that they’ve developed over the whole term within their team sports.
Prep 3 and 4 played exceptionally well against St. John’s. The Prep 4 team won their games with some slick performances. The Prep 3 team tried lots of new positions and we have discovered some new shooters. Superb effort from all!
This morning the Prep 5 girls held a cake sale to raise money for the Kanyike Project in Uganda. The sale was organised and run entirely by the Prep 5 girls who managed to raise £50. What a great effort!

This week in Science Prep 5 have been looking at irreversible changes, making rockets using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.
Today prep 5 took part in the Threads of Easter workshop at Buckfast Abbey. They were led through the important parts of Holy Week as they moved through the Abbey added significant beads to their thread. The children then creative stain glass crosses to take home to reflect on their Easter journey.
Today Prep 5 and Prep 2 had sessions with Janice from the Education department of the Fire Service. They were reminded of how to act in an emergency, how to drop and roll and how to prevent fires in the home.
What a fantastic time Woodland club have had making models and den building this term! Come and see the models displayed in the main entrance. This is just one of the many after school activities that we have at St Christopher’s.
This week Prep 2 have been busy in Maths investigating 2 digit multiples of 2, 5 & 10.
