Preps 1 and 2 visited Stover Park to learn about habitats. The Ranger guided us around 3 distinct habitats. We identified animals we found in the pond and then learned how they are adapted to live where they do.
Prep 2 were inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy to make their own collage using natural materials found in the school grounds.
This morning Nursery have been out in the playground practising their letter formations. This week they are focusing on Zig Zag Zebra.
On Thursday the Under 11’s Girls played Rounders against Exeter Cathedral School. It was a challenging game with some improved fielding tactics. The whole team played well and Sophie was awarded fielder of the team, and batter of the team went to Sarah.

Today was the last of our Instrumental Concerts and saw the Children who learn the Drums and Voice perform to the School and parents. It was again another great concert and all the Children did so well. Well done to all the Children this week.
The 2nd of our three concerts this morning and it was the turn of the Piano players. All of the Children did extremely well. (apologies for the light in the background!)
This morning was the start of three Instrumental concerts taking place this week in Assembly. It’s a great chance for the Children who learn instruments in School to perform a short piece they have been learning to their parents and the School.
In our citizenship lesson this week, Prep 6 recreated The House of Commons and the House of Lords with this useful “box of tricks” lent to us from the UK Parliament Education Department, reinforcing our lessons on Democracy and Debating.
