Music & Movement – Nursery, Prep Rec & Prep 1

Protecting the School – Prep 6
Prep 6 enjoyed an impromptu hands on lesson on fire safety in school, being given the opportunity to test out a real fire extinguisher.
Inspired by Edvard Munch’s The Scream – Prep 4
Prep 4 have been inspired by The Scream by Edvard Munch. The class has used oil pastels and further developed their watercolour techniques, they have also explored of how colour can evoke emotion.
Matilda – Preps 3 to 6
Yesterday Preps 3 to 6 went to watch Matilda at the Theatre Royal Plymouth.
Science Class – Prep 1
Children in Prep 1 are learning about materials in science. Today we looked at the materials used in the school building. The children are carefully observing and drawing the materials used.
Poetry Assembly Practice – Prep 2
Prep 2 are already preparing for their Poetry Assembly theme, the sea. The children are working as a group to make the shape of the sea.
Harbour Rise Care Home – Prep Reception
Prep Reception had another lovely afternoon out at Harbour Rise Care Home in Paignton. This was their second visit inspired by the Channel 4 program “Old Peoples Home for 4 Year Olds” and the Children got to play games with some of the Residents that they met before Christmas.
ISA SW Cross Country Championships
Today we took a team to Holden Forest to take part in the Independent Schools Association (South West) Cross Country championships. We were very please to that four of our children have gained a place at the ISA National Athletics Championships in Rugby on March 30th.
Robots – Prep 2
This term Prep 2 have started to use the floor robots within their ICT lessons. They are learning about algorithms in computing and how to de-bug.
