The St Christopher’s Nursery and Prep School football team recently went to Cornwall to participate in the ISA South West 5-a-side football tournament.
Group Stage
In the group stages our team exhibited remarkable teamwork and skill, securing victories against Shebbear, Trinity, and Polwhele.
Semi-Final
In the semi-finals, the competition intensified as we played Stover. Despite a valiant effort, the match ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw, leading to a nerve-wracking penalty shootout. Although we fought bravely, luck was not on our side as we narrowly lost to the eventual winners, St Josephs.
Battle for Third Place:
Undeterred by the setback, our team rallied together for the third-place playoff against Kingsley School. Once again, the match ended in a tense 1-1 draw, pushing us into another nail-biting penalty shootout. Despite our best efforts, we fell short, but our determination and resilience remained unwavering.
