What a fantastic day at the Independent Schools Association national swimming at the London Aquatic Centre. The children from did themselves proud.
Over the last few weeks Prep 1 & 2 have been learning how to tie knots and build rafts. This week they got to build a raft for their favourite finger puppet and test it in the School pond. There were some nervous moments but the majority floated and survived!
Today the Under 9’s rugby team travelled to Trinity school to play in a tag rugby competition. They played incredibly well and won all of their games! Well done Under 9’s!
This morning Prep 5 have investigated air resistance in Science by designing parachutes to protect their eggs!
This afternoon Prep 1 took our new Prep Reception to meet some of the Residents they made friends with last year at Harbour Rise Care Home. This afternoon saw the annual St Christopher’s Conker competition. After some great play St Andrew were the champion!!
Prep 1 and 2 had a fantastic day at Paignton Zoo learning all about the different animals. They also enjoyed a workshop where the zoo educators delivered an exciting, curriculum-linked workshop designed to get the children engaged in the natural world.
This week we welcomed Father Kakuba, Madam Vicki and Sister Joan from the Kanyike Project in Uganda. During their time here they spent time talking to the children explaining about life in Uganda and then got to enjoy Harvest Festival and a Music concert to raise money.
This morning Prep Rec have been learning how to use computers, using paint to design their own picture and then colour it in.
Nursery have had a fun morning learning the traditional tale of Billy Goats Gruff and then acting it out using the lovely new play equipment donated by our Prep 6 who left in July.
