St Christopher’s Prep School and Nursery will be closing at the end of this academic year in July.
A combination of factors has led to this. These include government policies and a changing market, which has seen falling pupil numbers and increased business costs. This has meant that, despite significant efforts, financial investment and support over the past few years by the founding family, the school is no longer financially viable.
We understand the impact this announcement will have on our school community, least not our pupils and families, as well as our dedicated staff and we are committed to working closely with everyone to provide guidance, support and assistance with next steps.
We are incredibly proud of the education that we have offered over the past 35 years at St Christopher’s and still believe it to be unique in its ethos and approach, though, unfortunately, no longer a sustainable model.
We now look forward to a final term together and to celebrate all that has been achieved at the school.
