This half term the Children have been busy learning Poems about Autumn. We would usually welcome parents to come to Poetry assembly, however as this is not possible we have recorded the poems and uploaded them to our Vimeo account. To view the poems please visit https://vimeo.com/channels/autumnpoetryassembly
In their Geography lessons this term, Prep 2 have been learning about direction. The Children were challenged to draw a treasure map and used compass points to find their hidden treasure. The class had great fun swapping maps to find the treasure!
After learning about Mary Anning in our history lessons, Prep 1 were inspired to make fossils last week. We pressed dinosaur toys into play dough to make an impression, then used plaster of Paris to create our fossils, it was great fun if not slightly messy!!!
It’s that time of year again when the Children get to take part in the Conker Competition. A little different this year as the Children have had to compete in their “bubbles!”.
We are excited to introduce our ‘Plastic Free Schools Action Group’. Lowenna, Seren, Rosie and Erin will be working with ‘Surfers against sewage’ and supporting our school this year to become plastic free. We will be updating you regularly with information on our progress starting with Prep 5 and 6 completing a litter pick this…
This week the whole school have learnt about the Jewish festival of Sukkot. Prep 4 went to the woodland area to build Sukkah’s.
What better way to end a very wet day than a yoga session. So good for our wellbeing! Thank you Buckfast for the Take 5 Festival Prep 2 really enjoyed it.
In their After School Activities this week Prep 3 have been working on making hand puppets. They took plenty of concentration and good hand eye co-ordination. The tasks proved rather tricky for some, but we all got there in the end! Good perseverance P3.
