It’s been an action-packed and rewarding few weeks for St Christopher’s sports teams, with standout performances across cross country, football, and table tennis.

The excitement began at the ISA South West Cross Country Championships in Gloucestershire, where our pupils took on a gruelling, muddy course against some of the best runners in the region. Freya and Elsie led the charge, with Freya finishing an impressive sixth and Elsie securing a brilliant second place. Both have now qualified for the national finals in Leicestershire this March—a fantastic achievement!

Meanwhile, our football team headed to Cornwall for the ISA 5-a-side tournament. After a tough start, they rallied superbly, going unbeaten for the rest of the competition and finishing second overall out of eight teams. A well-deserved result that highlights their teamwork and determination.

The success didn’t stop there. At the Devon Schools Individual Table Tennis Championships in Plymouth, 15 of our pupils took to the tables, including some of our youngest competitors facing older opponents. Every single squad member won at least one match, with Scarlett claiming a bronze medal and Isla narrowly missing out on gold, taking home silver after an intense final. The support from the team was electric, making it a day to remember.

Huge congratulations to all our pupils for their hard work, sportsmanship, and outstanding achievements. St Christopher’s continues to shine on the sporting stage!
