This morning Mrs Cottell was delighted to present Tula with the St Christopher’s award, for her positive attitude in all that she does.
This morning was a proud morning for the parents as Mrs Cottell presented the Head Boy and Head Girl badges to Dylan and Isabelle. The house captains and prefects were also all presented with their badges. Prep 6 are looking forward to taking on the added responsibility and helping nurture the younger children in the school.
Today Prep 6 went to the beautiful Buckland Abbey to learn about life as a Tudor, and got the chance to dress up in authentic clothing.
Six ISA SW schools, making up eight teams in total, competed in the U11 SW ISA Tag Rugby Festival hosted by St Christopher’s. This morning was the Lower School Poetry Assembly. The theme was Friends and Family and all the children had learnt their words and delivered them confidently in front of the whole school and their parents. The Assembly finished with a play by Prep Reception and Prep 1 of Handa’s Surprise.
Prep 6 made the short journey to Ivybridge to attend the annual Junior Life Skills event. This morning the Nursery children has their first French lesson of the term. They loved learning their French through finger rhymes and some lovely new songs. They began to learn about how they would travel to France and how to say “Bonjour” and “Au revoir”.

Prep 2 and 3 girls had a wonderful afternoon at Exeter university. The children joined with girls from Exeter Cathedral school on the sand pitch for a coaching session. The girls vastly improved their skills and game awareness, learning from the other girls and growing in confidence. Their determination during mini games was impressive! Well done prep…
