Science – Prep 1

5th October 2018

Today Prep 1 were learning about the five senses. We tasted different foods to experience sour, sweet, bitter and salt tastes. Then we used hand lenses to try to see taste buds on each other’s tongues.

Woodland Club

Great fun was had at our last woodland club, where the children were challenged to make pictures out of items they found on their treasure hunt.  All the ideas the children had, produced super displays, including a stick man and a rocket.  Next week the children will be making their own pictures.

Treasure Hunt – Prep 2

For the past few weeks Prep 2 have been learning map reading skills, including direction and using an 8 point compass. Friday was the highlight as the class had to create their own treasure map for others to find the treasure! Fantastic directions from all resulted in Chocolate treasure being found!!

Dippy Duck – Nursery

Today Nursery have been learning letters using the Letterland scheme.  Whilst making their Dippy Ducks they have also been learning what it was like to write with feathers!

Tag Rugby – Under 8’s

The Under 8’s tag rugby team went along to Blundell’s School to take part in a development competition. The team performed brilliantly over the five matches and did not lose a game all afternoon, winning some of the games comfortably and scoring plenty of tries.
