Tag Rugby – Under 8’s
The Under 8’s tag rugby team went along to Blundell’s School to take part in a development competition. The team performed brilliantly over the five matches and did not lose a game all afternoon, winning some of the games comfortably and scoring plenty of tries. We were the only school to field a mixed team. Well…
Prep 5 – Times Tables
Prep 5 in their times tables lesson this week challenging themselves on our new speed challenge wall and competing against one another with our x4 and x8 board games.
Drama Outside..
With the lovely weather in the beautiful South Hams today, Prep 2 had their drama lesson outside with Mr Bellham, where they were exploring moving around in a variety of different scenarios as a character.
Cops & Robbers
Prep 6 working hard in ‘Cops and Robbers’ mental calculation race. Prep 6 have also created and described properties of a huge range of 3D shapes this week. They have shown much competitive energy and creativity this week along with some solid mathematical skills.
Prep 3 – Computers
Prep 3 were really excited about using the new school laptops for Mathletics for the first time today. Everyone managed to log on with their passwords and began working on the four tasks set by Mrs. Edwardes.

Bonjour! Prep Reception are continuing to develop their knowledge of French as they move up from Nursery. Here they go off on the autobus!
Beautiful Surroundings
We are so lucky to have such beautiful surroundings on our doorstep. This week Prep 1 and Prep 2 enjoyed more woodland activities down beside the River Dart. They looked for Autumn treasures and had a go at stone balancing and building stone towers!
Murder at the movies…..
Prep 6 have had a busy week as they came across a crime scene in our turquoise room and were hired as detective Chief Inspectors to solve this murder mystery. They had to use their accuracy and mathematical skills to solve clues to eliminate numerous suspects. Peace has been restored at St. Christopher’s as Prep…
Prep 2 Geography
This week Prep 2 have been learning about direction. Great fun was had directing each other around the playground using left and right, stop and go, with only a few crashes!!
Prep Reception’s first Games lesson
A very excited Prep Reception joined Prep 1 at the sports field for our first games lesson. We started off with a (shortish!) cross-country run followed by lots of games to introduce new concepts such as zig-zagging and finding space. All of these skills will be needed for Tag-Rugby later on in the term!!
